Provider Fees based on Fees

Dentalore System have 2 methods that the provider fees could be calculated based on them; The (Payment) method and the (Fees) method. Payment method mainly depends on the actual payment done by patient while the Fees method depends on the fees set for the procedures in the price list.

– Payment Method is available for clinics that use Only the Procedure Ledger type. For more information, Check:  Provider Fees based on Payment.

– Fees Method is avaliable for clinics that use either the Open Ledger type or the Procedure Ledger type.

To configure provider fees based on Fees percentage method , Follow the following:

  • Press on your name at the upper right side and select “Settings”.

  • Expand “Resources” menu and Select “Provider”.
  • Select the required provider from the ‘Provider’ grid view and Press the “View” icon.
  • New Page “Edit Provider” opens; Select the (Fees) tab.

    >> >> For more information about the Fees tab, Check: Manage Provider’s Fees.
  • Tick the Check box beside required procedures, and select method to be: (Fees) from the table’s footer.
    >> Note that the default selection of this drop down menu is: (Fees).
  • Insert the required value (In Percentage) either in the field of percentage column or in the (Amount) field in the table’s footer, then Press the “Apply” button.
  • Directly the inserted amount will be displayed for all procedures included in the selected category.
  • Save the values.
  • As well user has the ability to select which of the existing parameters (Cost, Lab Cost and/or Adjustment) will be included in the provider fees by ticking the check box of required one.
    But Note that if you are using the Open Ledger type; then you have only the (Cost and Lab Cost) parameters to use.
  • So in case the user selects all parameters to be taken in consideration while calculating the provider fees; then:
    >> Provider Fees=  {Fees – Cost – Lab Cost – ( -+ Adjustment)} * Percentage

  • In case the user selects Cost and Lab Cost to be taken in consideration while calculating the provider fees; then:
    >> Provider Fees=  {Fees – Cost – Lab Cost } * Percentage
  • In case the user selects Adjustment Only to be taken in consideration while calculating the provider fees; then:
    >> Provider Fees=  {Fees – Cost} * Percentage

  • In case the user selects Nothing to be taken in consideration while calculating the provider fees; then:
    >> Provider Fees=  Fees * Percentage
  • The user is free to select any of the exiting parameters to be included in provider fees in which these settings is reflected in the (Provider Fees) report in Analytics Module. For more information about report, Check:  Analytics; Provider Fees Report.

To configure provider fees based on Fees fixed amount method , Follow the following: 

  • From type drop down list select “Fixed Amount” Enter a value mark procedures then click “Apply”.
  • Click “Save

When type is selected to be Fixed Amount the Cost, Lab Cost and Adjustment are disabled.
