Configuring devices is an option that enables user to add new device to integrate with Dentalore system in order to directly capture images and save them in the patient’s file at the same time the procedure is performed for the patient.
Dentalore System offers the integration with the following protocols:
- Video
- Twain
- Bridges (ٍSIDEXIS, VixWin, DBSWIN, Sopro)
Device Manager View
- Select Patient list from Patients module.
- Select required patient from patient list and Press “Images” module.
- Images tab opens by default on the Viewer tab, Select the “Capture” tab.
- From the “Capture” tab, Press the “Device Manager” button.
- New page “Devices” opens that contains the following:
1- Grid view that lists all integrated and defined devices with Dentalore and an “Add” button to add new devices.
2- “Capture” button, that returns you back to the “Capture” tab in images module.
- Press “Add” button.
- New page “Device Information” opens.
- “Device Information” page contains 2 main sections; the (Device Details) and the selected (Protocol configuration). Fields that define the details of the device are:
— Code: Is the code of the new created device.
— Name: Is the name of new created device that will be displayed in the “Devices” grid view in device manger page and the “Device” drop down menu in “Capture” view in Images module.
— Image Format: Is the format of images that will be captured using the created device. Format could be: (JPG or PNG).
— Icon: Is an icon, the user selects to display it for the created device once selected.
Note that:
>> The selected image (Icon) should be of maximum size 32 X 32 pixels.
— Protocol: Is a drop down menu that contains the avaliable protocols in Dentalore system, that the user could select one of them to configure the device. Protocol could be one of: (Video, Twain, and Bridges). Default selection is: Video.
— Type: Is a drop down menu that contains the modalities that could integrate with Dentalore system through any of the available protocols. Existing types are: (Intraoral Camera, Intraoral X-ray, Panorama, Cephalometeric, Cone Beam, or Other). Default selection is: Intraoral Camera.
— Active: Is a checkbox that’s ticked by default. Which means the device is active and could be selected and used to capture images (Exist in the “Device” drop down menu in the “Capture” tab in Images module).
— Protocol Configuration section: This section displays the configurations related to each selected protocol from the “Protocol” drop down menu.
Note that: Once a protocol is selected for a specific device type and this device saved, then the Protocol can’t be edited.
