Sending Manual Messages to patients

In Dentalore System user could send manual messages (SMS and/or Emails) for patients from many views which are:

  1. Patients Module; Patient List; “Edit Patient” page; Press “Send Message” button
  2. Scheduler Module; Right click on visit card; Select “Send Message” option
  3. Recall Module; Press the “Message” icon in Recall List view
  4. Recall Module; “Edit Recall” page; Press “Send Message” button

All of the above ways let the user sent a manual message (SMS and/or Email) to the patients from the new popup “Send Message” that opens:

“Send Message” popup contains the following fields:

  • Patient Name: Is the name of patient and can’t be edited.
  • Mobile: Is the phone number of patient and can’t be edited from this view.
    — In case the phone number is not added from the patient’s info page, then the user could add it from the “Send Message” popup while sending SMS to the patient and it will be saved in the patient’s info page.
  • Email: Is the mail added for the patient in his personal information.
    — In case the Email is not added from the patient’s info page, then the user could add it from the “Send Message” popup while sending an Email to the patient and it will be saved in the patient’s info page.
  • Template: Is a drop down menu that contains all of the defined active templates in the system to enable user to select the required predefined template to send message. Default selection is the “Custom” template that lets the user type the required info.
  • Send Via: 2 check boxes in order to select the required way to send the message, either by SMS, Email or both. Tick the check box of the required one.
  • “Send” button: Once pressed the typed message (SMS and/or Email) will be sent to the patient and popup closes.
  • “Close” button: Once pressed, no message sent and popup closes.
    — Note that: If any of the (Mobile) or (Email) is not inserted from the patient’s info page and inserted from the “Send Message” popup then the user press “Close” button; these data will not be saved in the patient’s info page.
